Working Together
At PSS, we believe the best things happen when we work together. That’s why we’ve relaunched our co-production groups with a new name, fresh approach and a clear focus on bringing people together: Working Together.
Co-production is about listening to and learning from people with lived experience, making sure their voices are heard and most importantly, helping those voices shape what we do. We loved our co-production groups, but we wanted to build on what worked and create something that felt more inclusive, and included not just the voices of our supported people, but people from right across the organisation.
Who is involved?
Our Working Together group brings together a wonderful mix of teammates, people who use our services, Shared Lives carers, volunteers, and anyone connected with PSS. It’s a space to build stronger connections across the organisation, share ideas and best practice, celebrate what's working and learn from each other.
Our Big Get Together
Every six months, we’ll bring everyone together for our Big Get Together, a chance to share updates, celebrate successes, exchange ideas and learn from one another. And that doesn’t just mean sitting around a table and having a meeting (although we will do that!). We want people to have time to chat and socialise before and after the meeting too.
Our first Big Get Together was a huge success, hosted by Tessa Dunbavin, Making Days coordinator and Abi Hurley, volunteer coordinator. It was fantastic to have so many people in one room to officially launch Working Together, we could really feel the energy and enthusiasm, which we love to see!
During the meeting, we made time for people to introduce who they are and the service they’re a part of. We also talked about what people want to see and do during the meetings, as well how the meetings will be run and the templates we’ll use for minutes and agendas.
Working Together Roulette
We’ve also launched something a little different, our brand-new Working Together Roulette.
Every six months, teams are paired up with another team, giving them the opportunity to connect outside of the meeting so they can share updates and find out what’s happening in different parts of PSS. We've also created some conversation starters to help spark conversation and get the conversation going.
What happens next
We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone at our next Big Get Together, hearing about all the brilliant things happening across PSS and most importantly, continuing to ‘work together’ to make PSS the best it can be for everyone.
